What do you recommend to people that are brand new to yoga?
Keep an open heart and an open mind. If at first you don't LOVE it then keep trying. Go back. Find new teachers and new styles and expect what you love one day to be totally different another day. Be patient with yourself. There is no such thing as being “bad” at yoga. Yoga is for everyone.
What drew you to teach the particular style that you teach now?
I teach many styles of yoga. My students and their unique and ever changing needs is what inspires me. I love going from teaching vinyasa flow right into a yin practice. I feel every style has it's time, place and vast benefits.
Why is yoga important to you?
For me, Yoga is a way of healing and a source of connection. My practice brings me home, centres me and helps me move emotions (energy in motion) though my bodies - physical body/mind body/energetic body. My yoga path serves me in aligning with my higher purpose - Joy!
